Disney’s John Carter, better known as John Carter from Mars, is just around the corner from release. Yet, we still only have the one trailer to go on, and are completely unaware what dangers the hero (Taylor Kitsch) faces. Well, Entertainment Weekly has come forth again, and released an all new look into the film, where John is facing quite a monster.

Well isn’t that just…fuzzy? We haven’t quite seen the type of villains or problems that Kitsch’s character will be facing in the film. The synopsis describes the film as:

Based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.

And really that’s all we have so far, besides the teaser trailer that tells us oh so very little.

John Carter will be released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on March 9th, 2012.
