Jonathan Jackson and Kimberly McCullough to Exit General Hospital
Jonathan Jackson (Lucky), as reported by TVGuide’s, Michael Logan, has cited his onerous workload as the reason for his exit. The Emmy award winning actor had returned to General Hospital (GH) in 2008 after a 12 year hiatus from the show, winning an Emmy last year for his work as Lucky Spencer. It seems as though the role of Lucky will not be recast, leaving the opportunity for Jackson’s return, a definite option in the future.
Another fan favorite, Kimberly McCullough (Robin) will also exit the show to pursue her directing aspirations full time. Of course, the rumors of her impending departure had been swirling on the internet recently. A General Hospitalrep said in a statement, “Expect a poignant and must watch storyline for Patrick and Robin.” Oh boy, we know what that means: Robin will most likely be making a final exit.
Kimberly’s final air date has not yet been announced.
So fellow Soapsters, do you think this news signals the possible exit of other stars from GH? Will you be saddened by the departure of the characters of Lucky and Robin?
We want to know what you think! Dish, fellow Soapsters!
Until next time!
